Honestly... how many out there do it? But most of the time it is really the simplest, most straightforward and successful path to achieve what you're after, whether you're working with APIs, VCRs, exotic palmtops or microwave ovens.

The "I'll try this and that and then tweak it a little" attitude often does not pay.
